The Organic Farm
Tim Jones, the farm manager, conceived the farm plan that utilizes our natural resources. Our resources are hay fields, gardens and forests. The fields produce grass that feeds the animals.They are fertilized by the animals when they pasture. We use portable electric fences to rotate the animals in the fields so they can feed and prune the vegetation. Horses, cattle, chickens, goats and pigs are raised on the grass, pasture and garden produce. The gardens are fertilized by the animals and forests. The forest is cultivated to grow trees and to provide lumber and compost.
